BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A New York bookkeeper has pleaded guilty to embezzling nearly $2 million from the medical practice where she worked.

Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita says 53-year-old Suzanne Glawatz (GLAH-wits) stole more than $1.8 million over a seven-year period by pocketing cash from co-pays and having her employer write loan checks for her, which she falsely claimed to pay back.
