A man was arrested after an altercation broke out between supporters of President Trump and Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren at a town hall meeting in Arizona on Thursday night.
According to KOLD News 13, Warren was in Tempe, Arizona for a scheduled town hall at the Marquee Theater when Trump supporters arrived during the event. Witnesses told the news station the supporters were with the pro-Trump group AZ Patriots and began provoking attendees at the event.
As they were being escorted out of the building by police, 29-year-old Kristian Doak “lunged” at the group of AZ Patriots and was subsequently arrested.

“Warren’s campaign approached us and was very rude and held their signs completely over our faces,” AZ Patriots member Jennifer Harrison told KOLD News 13. “This animal over here lunged after us, tried to grab our phone from my partner’s hands.”
Doak and the pro-Trump group were both accompanied by security guards out of the facility where Warren was speaking. Doak allegedly tried to hit one of the AZ Patriots members again while being forced to leave.
“Once he [the man escorted out] saw me, he stood up and tried to lunge after a woman to strike me with his fist,” Harrison said.

Doak was detained on two charges of assault and one count of disorderly conduct, according to Tempe Police Department spokeswoman Natalie Barela. All charges are considered misdemeanors.
Barela said there were no injuries at the town hall.
