The same weapon was used to fire shots at a Marine Corps recruiting station in Chantilly, the Pentagon and the National Museum of the Marine Corps, the FBI said Thursday.
The bureau had previously linked the Oct. 19 Pentagon shooting and the Oct. 17 shooting at the museum.
Fairfax County police received a report of vandalism at the Chantilly recruiting station Tuesday morning. Bullets damaged the window of the strip-mall building overnight, police said.
All of the shootings occurred when the buildings were unoccupied. No one has been injured.
The FBI will not say what type of weapon was used, but Pentagon authorites have said they believe those shots came from a high-powered rifle.
