WATCH: MLB player’s phone falls out of pocket as he runs bases during game

Pittsburgh Pirates player Rodolfo Castro had his phone slip out of his pocket as he was sliding to third base during a game Tuesday.

The incident occurred during the fourth inning of a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. The infielder was playing in his first game with the Pirates since June after spending nearly two months with a Triple-A team in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Castro slid to third base after his teammate Oneil Cruz hit a single, with his phone coming out of his pocket and slamming against the base.

“I don’t think there’s any professional ball player that would ever go out there with any intentions of taking a cellphone,” Castro said through an interpreter after the game.
