MIAMI (AP) — Two people have been rescued in the waters near Hallandale Beach hours after they fell off their boat in Key Largo.

The Coast Guard Sector Miami says an off-duty detective and firefighter found Sean McGovern, 50, and Mellisa Morris, 52, early Saturday morning. The pair said they fell from their 30-foot Island Hopper boat and were distanced from the vessel around 6 p.m. Friday. They treaded water throughout the night until being found.
