Breaking news alert: There will be an “Anchorman 2.”
While appearing on Conan O’Brein last night, Will Ferrell annouced that there will be a sequel to the popular 2004 comedy. Ferrell appeared in character as Ron Burgundy on the show, confirming that Paramount had greenlit the project.
The rest of the cast is said to be on board with the project, as well as Ferrell’s co-writer from the first film, Adam McKay, who also directed the orginial and will direct the sequel as well.
Filming is set to begin later this year and the movie is set to be released in 2013.
