One person has been killed and another seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Montgomery County, police said.
The incident occurred about 12:45 a.m. Monday on Dickerson Road near the intersection with Mt. Ephraim Road, Montgomery County police said.
An investigation found that a 2002 Honda Civic left the road, struck a stone railroad bridge overpass and caught on fire. Witnesses were able to rescue the passenger before the car became completely engulfed in flames.
The female driver died at the scene, police said. The passenger, 23-year-old Oscar Armando Chavez Martinez, was airlifted to a hospital and was in serious condition Tuesday afternoon.
