Megyn Kelly producing comedy show set on campaign trail

Megyn Kelly is set to produce a scripted comedy show following young reporters traveling around the country to cover a presidential election.

According to Variety, “Embeds” will follow “five young reporters who are in way over their heads as they find themselves shaping the future of the country while experiencing raucous adventures in an unexpected world of sex, drugs and swing states.”

Kelly is co-producing the show with “Fifty Shades of Grey” producer Michael de Luca.

Scott Conroy, co-author of Sarah Palin biography Sarah from Alaska, and Peter Hamby, a former CNN correspondent who now works for Snapchat, created “Embeds” and wrote the pilot.

The first six half-hour episodes are set to air on streaming service Go90, which is owned by Verizon.

“Embeds” will reportedly feature cameos from recognizable politicians and the show’s creative team hopes it will debut ahead of Election Day on Nov. 8.
