Right-wing author linked to Roger Stone testifies to Mueller grand jury: Report

A right-wing author linked to former Trump adviser Roger Stone testified Friday in front of a grand jury as part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

Jerome Corsi had been subpoenaed by Mueller to testify in early September, but that appearance was canceled the night before. Instead, he met Friday with the grand jury, according to ABC News.

At least 11 individuals associated with Stone have been contacted by Mueller’s team, the report said.

Corsi’s attorney, David Gray, told the New York Times earlier this month he expected Mueller’s team to ask his client about his conversations with Stone, who appeared to have knowledge of WikiLeaks’ plans to release information damaging to the Clinton campaign.

Corsi worked with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones at Infowars, and has interacted with Stone over the years. President Trump contacted Corsi before he launched his presidential campaign for information about former President Barack Obama’s birth certificate, which Trump claimed had been fabricated.

Stone has insisted he had no contact with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange about the release of the hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta in the weeks leading up to Election Day.

Stone told the House Intelligence Committee last year that his tweet saying Podesta would face “his time in the barrel” referred to research given to him by Corsi.
