Trump refuses to let up on Clinton: ‘She lied so much last night’

Donald Trump on Monday accused Hillary Clinton of lying repeatedly during the second presidential debate and trying to deceive Americans because she “has hatred in her heart.”

The Republican presidential nominee entered Sunday’s debate facing immense pressure to apologize for lewd comments he made in a 2005 audio tape released last week and simultaneously prosecute the case against his Democratic opponent. In his first rally after the heated town hall-style debate, Trump said he had “a lot of fun” and that his opponent’s performance was “highly overrated.”

“All Crooked Hillary could do was talk about small, petty things last night during the course of 90 minutes,” Trump told a crowd in Ambridge, Pa. “She was exposed and her failures were exposed. All she could do was lie.”

“She lied so much last night,” he charged.

Trump spent most of his first post-debate rally reminding voters of the issues on which he targeted his opponent less than 24 hours prior, claiming he won the debate because Clinton couldn’t defend her own record.

“I explained how Hillary Clinton oversaw the disasters in Libya, including the infamous drawing of the ‘red line,'” he recalled. “She lied about it, she said she wasn’t involved in that catastrophe. Hillary Clinton said she didn’t delete her emails after a congressional subpoena — that was another lie [and] that was a hard one to believe.”

Trump continued, “She had no defense when I brought up her failures in Iraq, Syria and Libya. She had no defense when I brought up her failures as a senator from New York promising to create the 200,000 jobs for upstate New York. She had no defense for calling on millions of Americans and then saying they’re ‘deplorable.'”

“Hillary Clinton had no defense for her secret speeches to Wall Street,” he told the audience, pausing to clap along when they began to chant “Lock her up!”
