The internet is very familiar with Joe Biden’s more awkward “encounters” with women (aka his “Creepy Uncle Joe” moments), with many YouTube compilations devoted to said encounters and articles in New York Magazine, Time, the Washington Post focused on the very question of letting “Joe be Joe.”
But not all the photographs that make the rounds are accurate. One photo, which has received 207,979 shares, has circulated on Facebook from the page “Conservative America” of Biden and Amie Parnes, the White House correspondent for The Hill. This image, however, was photoshopped to make it appear as if Biden’s hands had been somewhere on Parnes that they had not actually been.
In the real image, which the Daily Mail captioned “Parnes’ right hand kept Biden’s vice presidential exploratory committee (of one) from ranging into sexual-harassment territory during a recent Christmas party” Biden’s hands are more in the hip/waist region. The photo was taken at a 2013 White House Christmas party.
With that cleared up, please excuse me while I go wash out my eyes.
