Krispy Kreme has added a special menu item for a limited time in honor of National Dog Day on Friday.
It’s the first time the doughnut chain is selling doggy doughnuts.

“Our dogs have given us so much love and comfort to help us through these last couple of years,” Krispy Kreme Global Chief Brand Officer Dave Skena said. “They deserve this special treat.”
The doggy doughnuts will be available in a specially designed six-count box for purchase in stores and via the drive-thru, beginning Friday and lasting through the weekend as long as treats remain.
The specially made treats are “for dogs of all sizes and ages” and “made using all-natural ingredients and inspired by Krispy Kreme doughnut flavors,” the doughnut chain told the Washington Examiner.
