Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and Sen. Lisa Murkowski took to Twitter Thursday as drinking buddies, showing off their fondness for each other after last week’s reports that Zinke threatened the Alaska Republican with repercussions for voting against a measure to begin debate on partially repealing and replacing Obamacare.
“I say dinner, she says brews. My friends know me well. Thanks Lisa Murkowski,” Zinke tweeted with a picture of the two smiling and holding up bottles of beer.

Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, said last week that Zinke had posed a thinly veiled threat during a phone call to both Alaska senators, saying he would make it harder for the states to meet its development goals because of Murkowski’s vote.
Soon after, Zinke called the claims “laughable.” But in the House, two top Democrats had already called for an investigation into the phone calls.
