First lady Melania Trump’s popularity has surged by double digits since January, according to a new CNN poll released Monday.
Fifty-seven percent of poll respondents had a favorable impression of Trump compared to 47 percent in a January poll. Twenty-seven percent view her in an unfavorable light, the new poll found.

Her favorability ratings have increased significantly among Democrats, with a 15 point jump since the January poll, despite more Democrats still having a negative view of her. Among Republicans, she is up 6 points.
In addition, more than half of women now have a positive impression of the first lady, while 30 percent view her unfavorably.
The poll’s release comes as President Trump battles allegations of infidelity during his marriage to Melania.
The poll, which surveyed 1,015 adults reached on landlines or cellphones, was conducted May 2-5. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 percentage points.
