A batch of Hillary Clinton’s private emails made public by the State Department Thursday showed the former secretary of state liked her staff to handle her birthday in a professional manner.
On Oct. 26, 2012, when Clinton turned 65, her aides carefully scheduled Clinton an 11:30 a.m. appointment to “enjoy your birthday.”
The location of the enjoyment was “TBD.”

The following month, Clinton forwarded a friendly birthday email from Andrea Palm, a top official at the Department of Health and Human Services, to one of her aides.
She instructed the aide to respond to the “happy birthday” wishes, which were then 19 days old.

The pair of messages were among the 5,500 pages of emails the State Department released late Thursday without any identifying markings.
They were among the more light-hearted of emails that included day-to-day policy discussions and political strategizing among Clinton and her inner circle.
