Driver critically injured in Route 1 collision

Howard traffic police said they are investigating a three-car collision that occurred Friday morning on Route 1, leaving one driver in critical condition.

A 2000 Dodge Durango traveling north on Route 1 near Bonnie View Lane crossed the double yellow line and struck a southbound Toyota Yaris, causing a southbound KIA Spectra to then strike both cars, police said.

The Yaris driver, Andrew Hagan, 25, of Baltimore City, was listed in critical condition Friday at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore City.

The Durango driver, Cornell Moore Jr., 18 of Baltimore City, was taken to St. Agnes Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Spectra driver, Eugene Tagliaferro, 50, of Baltimore City, was not injured.
