Clinton trolls Trump over late night tweets

A day after Republican nominee Donald Trump went on a late night tweet storm, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton trolled her opponent with a tweetstorm of her own in the early morning hours Saturday

Exactly 24 hours after Trump ripped reports of dissent in his campaign, Clinton tweeted, “It’s 3:20 a.m. As good a time as any to tweet about national service.”

The former secretary of state included a link to a post on Medium about her proposal to expand AmeriCorps, which allows Americans to volunteer throughout the country. On Friday, Clinton rolled out a plan to engage more millenials in national service through AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps.

While much of the country was asleep at the time Clinton was tweeting about her plans for expanding national service, it was seen as a jab at Trump’s usage of the same social media network.

Early Friday morning, Trump took to Twitter for a barrage of thoughts on how the media is being unfair to his campaign and the usage of anonymous sources said to be within his campaign.

He followed that up with a series of tweets shortly after 5 a.m. Friday about Alicia Machado, the former Miss Universe winner who has been in the headlines since Clinton brought up Trump’s comments about her in the mid-1990s during the Monday presidential debate. Trump encouraged his supporters to “check out” a “sex tape” involving Machado, which is actually a clip of a reality TV show Machado was on some years ago.
