Actress and activist Rose McGowan said “chickens—” celebrities need to “clean house,” adding that Hollywood elites who profit off of “known monsters” are “monsters” themselves.
“Dear Hollywood, YOU MUST CLEAN HOUSE. If you are profiting from known monsters YOU are a monster. And to all you chickens— celebs I promise this, if you do not start blowing your g—— truth whistles you will fade away. We see you. The time is now,” McGowan tweeted Friday.
The message was in reference to abuse and bullying allegations against producer Scott Rudin, who worked on acclaimed movies such as No Country for Old Men, The Social Network, and The Truman Show.
“He threw a laptop at the window in the conference room and then went into the kitchen and we could hear him beating on the napkin dispenser,” Caroline Rugo, who used to work with Rudin, claimed. “Then another time he threw a glass bowl at [a colleague]. It’s hard to say if he threw it in the general direction or specifically at [the colleague], but the glass bowl hit the wall and smashed everywhere. The HR person left in an ambulance due to a panic attack. That was the environment.”
McGowan also tweeted of the allegations on Thursday, saying, “Tom Cruise to Trey Parker. They all know. Super producer Scott Rudin must be stopped. Enough. What is wrong with you Hollywood? You are putting your values in our minds. Your value system is sick. Stop poisoning us. End power abuse now.”

McGowan has been vocal in exposing people in Hollywood who are allegedly abusive or sexual predators and has also directed her anger toward powerful politicians in recent years.
Last month, she slammed Vice President Kamala Harris for her planned speaking event with Bill Clinton on empowering women, asking if she has “no soul.”

“This is obscene @KamalaHarris. You speaking with Bill Clinton about empowering women & girls is disgusting. Have you no soul? Have you no ethics? Ask him about being on an island of human trafficking victims 27 times. You are showing us exactly who you are,” McGowan tweeted, referencing Clinton’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The tweet was accompanied by a screenshot outlining various accusations of sexual assault or misconduct that have been leveled against the former president.
