John’s accuser hires Gloria Allred

After being dropped by his attorney and withdrawing his lawsuit, it looked like John Doe No. 1 was out of John Travolta’s life for good.

That is, until famed civil rights attorney Gloria Allred stepped in.

John Doe’s lawsuit alleging sexual assault against the “Face/Off” star seemed to unravel as the actor and his people disproved the date of John’s whereabouts at the time of the alleged sexual misconduct.

Days later, his attorney backed out of the case, and the suit was withdrawn Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Allred confirmed she is taking his case.

“I represent John Doe Number One,” Allred confirmed to People magazine. “Mr. Doe’s lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice which means that he is still legally entitled to file another lawsuit against John Travolta if he chooses. We are in the process of conferring with him regarding the next steps, which he may wish to take.”

Allred has a history of taking on sexual misconduct cases against A-list celebrities, including allegations against both Tiger Woods and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Back on the prowl

Speaking of Tiger … his ex, Elin Nordegren, is back on the market.

The model, who now resides in North Palm Beach, Fla., has been linked to businessman Jamie Dingman since last summer. Despite rumors that the pair were spotted at Saturday’s playoff hockey game between the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals, a friend of Elin’s tells People she wasn’t even at the game.

“She says Jamie’s a great guy — and they’re still friends — but I think it was just too early [after the divorce] for her to get serious with anyone,” the friend said.

She’s a bit busy right now anyway. The part-time college student is working on her psychology degree while raising her two children and overseeing construction of a new oceanfront home for her family in Florida.

Film star missing

Nick Stahl, who starred in “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” has been reported missing.

E! Online says the actor’s wife named him in a missing-person’s report earlier this week.

In February, Nick’s wife reportedly filed court papers stating that the two were living apart and seeking full custody of their 2-year-old daughter.

According to E!, in the court documents she expressed concern about possible drug use, requesting proof that he test negative for drugs 24 hours before seeing their daughter and asking that a professional monitor the visits.
