Howard County commuters will have a decision to make next month: Hop in the car, or use the county’s new-and-improved mass transit system.
Beginning April 2, Howard Transit bus riders will experience a new bus service.
The changes, which are the result of three public meetings and riders? feedback, include new bus stops, extended service hours on some routes and half-hour frequency on routes that serve Columbia mall. Some underused route segments will be eliminated.
To celebrate the changes, rides April 2 and 3 will cost 25 cents, and riders get a free bag of candy peanuts.
