Mattis says diplomacy is key to solving tensions between the US and Iran

Former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis spoke out on rising tensions between the U.S. and Iran, urging diplomacy rather than military aggression.

Mattis, who announced his resignation in a frankly worded letter to President Trump in December, struck a conciliatory tone, urging the two countries to work together to avoid a new war in the Middle East.
