Melania Trump ‘has more important things to do’ than get involved in White House intrigue: Report

First lady Melania Trump is “borderline irritated” after recent reports suggested she’s pushing her husband to shake up staffing in the West Wing.

Trump is annoyed reports said she, along with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, are lobbying the president to fire his chief of staff Reince Priebus, a source told CNN.

The first lady does not meet alone with the president’s daughter and son-in-law, both of whom are White House advisers, the source added.

“She has more important things to do” such as keeping busy with her own initiatives, the source said.

Trump’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham did confirm the first lady does regularly counsel her husband as he divulges about his work day.

Last week, she sat in on a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the G-20 summit in Germany because “the president asked her to attend, which he does often for many meetings and events” Grisham said.
