Those out in about in the District this holiday weekend won’t need to worry about feeding the parking meters.
Department of Public Works spokeswoman Linda Grant said no expired parking meter tickets will be written on Friday, the day before Christmas, or on Saturday, Christmas Day.
Residential parking restrictions and rush hour parking restrictions will also be suspended. But be warned: Tickets still can be written for offenses such as parking in an emergency zone or in front of a fire hydrant.
