Members of the Fairfax County School Board otook a tour of Clifton Elementary, as well as the Liberty Middle School site where the school board staff has recommended building a new school.
“I wanted the school board members to see the site,” said Springfield School Board member Liz Bradsher. “I hoped that it would help them understand the issues and come to a decision. I think it’s important that everyone establishes their own mindset on this matter, with all the facts.”
Bradsher said community members and school board staff also attended the tour.
The school board is scheduled to make a decision on whether to close Clifton July 8.
