Police arrest teen wanted in 2009 slaying

Police have arrested a teenager wanted on an outstanding warrant in connection with a 2009 slaying in the District.

Police arrested Terrell Patton, 19, in an unrelated case in Southeast D.C. on Saturday afternoon, D.C. police said Monday.

However, when they checked his name, they found they had an outstanding warrant on him charging first-degree felony murder while armed in the death of Deuante Ray.

Ray, 20, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in an alley behind the 1100 block of 48th Street in Northeast D.C. just after midnight on Oct. 30, 2009. Another person was charged with first-degree felony murder in the slaying as well in Nov. 2009.
