Donald Trump was mobbed by a group of supporters outside of his Trump Tower in New York City on Saturday, one day after a 2005 video surfaced of the GOP nominee making lewd comments about seducing women.
Upon re-entering the building, Trump is asked what he wants to say to his supporters, in a video posted to social media by Bloomberg Politics’ Kevin Cirilli.
“Tremendous support,” Trump repeated, not exactly answering the question.
Asked if he would stay in the race, Trump repeated his previous statement on the matter, “100 percent.”
Trump seems to ignore or not hear another reporter’s question about his response to Republicans rescinding their support of him in response to the video’s release.
As they walk towards the elevator, Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway is asked whether Trump can still win the election, despite the fallout resulting from the video’s release.
While she doesn’t provide a verbal reply, she does seem to give a curt nod.
Trump was originally scheduled to appear Saturday with House Speaker Paul Ryan at an event in Wisconsin, but Ryan retracted the invitation Friday in response to the video.
Instead, while offering an apology, Trump said in a statement that he would be spending the day in New York, preparing for Sunday’s debate with the help of RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions.
