Talk show host Sunny Hostin slammed voters who have supported President Trump in the 2020 presidential election calling them “un-American.”
“I’m not going to say that 50% of Americans are racist and sexist and homophobic, but I will say that that tells me that they will look the other way to that kind of behavior, to the plight of their fellow Americans, if personally they feel that they are doing OK and that they will do better under that type of presidency,” Hostin said on Thursday’s episode of The View as votes continued to be counted in battleground states around the country. “And that, I think, is despicable. It is un-American.”
Hostin added: “For the past four years, this president has shown us that he is a misogynist, that he is homophobic, that he is racist, and that he mismanaged a coronavirus pandemic to the tune of 250,000 American deaths. Yet 50% of America saw all of that and looked the other way to their brothers and their sisters and said, ‘I’m going to vote for him anyway.’”

Over 69.5 million Americans have voted for Trump as of Friday morning compared to roughly 73.5 million for former Vice President Joe Biden.
Several races in key states remain too close to call with Biden taking the lead in Pennsylvania and Georgia early Friday morning.
The Trump campaign released a statement Friday morning declaring that the “election is not over” despite many believing Biden is on the cusp of hitting the 270 electoral vote mark needed to win the presidency.
