President Trump urged Democrats to “get smart” after facing harsh backlash from across the aisle after announcing his administration would eliminate billions of dollars in subsidies to health insurers.

The White House announced Thursday evening that it intends to put an end to the insurance subsidies feature of Obamacare, a move which Democratic leaders in Congress panned as a “spiteful” act of “sabotage.”
On Friday, Trump invited Democrats to the White House to work out a deal on healthcare, though he expressed doubt they would take him up on the offer.
