Well-wisher cards inundate Cruz booth at Texas GOP convention

Supporters decked out Sen. Ted Cruz’s booth at this weekend’s Texas Republican convention with thank-you notes for his now-ended presidential campaign.

Photos posted to social media on Saturday show a flurry of notes decorating Cruz’s booth, which still features campaign slogan “TrusTed.” Cards are also clipped on clothes lines surrounding the set up.

“I am so proud of you and your team,” read one card. “I still support you,” wrote another well wisher.

Tyler Norris, who was the state director of the Cruz campaign in Texas, tweeted that he was “digging” all the support, adding that the booth is “more like a family reunion.”

Cruz ended his campaign on May 3 after enduring a crushing primary defeat in Indiana. Last week, Cruz teased a possible reentry into the GOP presidential nominee race if the remaining voting contests were to swing in his favor, but he also indicated that it was unlikely.

“Thank you Ted!” signs were reportedly placed on every chair at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas where Ted Cruz is scheduled to speak at 1:45 p.m. Central Time.
