Conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch, a supporter of President Trump, said he expects a landslide victory for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, according to people who have spoken with him.
Sources told the Daily Beast that Murdoch said Trump was “his own worst enemy” and that he was “disgusted” by the president’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite his personal beliefs regarding the outcome of the upcoming election, Murdoch has not prevented his media empire from digging up dirt on Biden and his family. For instance, the New York Post, which is owned by Murdoch, published a series of stories last week on Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings.
According to the Daily Beast, Murdoch at one point considered backing Michael Bloomberg during his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination due to mounting frustration with Trump. In 2016, he even went so far as to tweet his support for the former mayor of New York City.
This is Bloomberg’s last chance. You never know until your hat is in the ring! Events change everything, especially during elections.

Murdoch reportedly told one associate, “After all that has gone on, people are ready for Sleepy Joe.”
In 2008, Murdoch made a similar prediction of a Democratic landslide ahead of former President Barack Obama’s election to the White House.
Murdoch founded what is now News Corp in 1980. Through News Corp’s sister company, Fox Corporation, he is Fox News’s current chairman.
