Maryland PSC gets two new commissioners

Maryland’s utility regulator has welcomed two new commissioners.

Gov. Martin O’Malley on Monday officially swore in Kelly Speakes-Backman and Kevin Hughes to the state’s Public Service Commission at a ceremony in Baltimore, according to a news release Tuesday.

Speakes-Backman and Hughes are filling seats left by former Commissioners Therese Goldsmith and Susanne Brogan. Their terms will expire in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
