President Trump joked that 2020 Democrat Joe Biden, if elected, would spend his presidency in a senior citizen care facility.
Trump spoke at a Monday rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, after Biden won a decisive victory in the South Carolina primary on Saturday. The president targeted Biden for commonly making misstatements on the campaign trail.
“For sleepy Joe, he doesn’t even know where he is, what he is doing, or what office he is running for,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter. Maybe he gets in — because he is a little more moderate — so maybe he gets in, but he’s not going to be running it. Other people are going to,” Trump continued. “They are going to put him into a home, and other people are going to be running the country, and they are going to be superleft radical crazies.”
He added, “Joe is going to be in a home. He’ll be watching television. Everything will be just fine.”
Last month, Biden flubbed while rallying voters ahead of the South Carolina primary, urging them to support his run for “United States Senate.” On Monday, the 77-year-old politician tripped up again, saying he was ready to win on “Super Thursday” before correcting himself. Biden also seemed to forget a quote from the Declaration of Independence after attempting to recite it in front of a crowd.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident,” Biden began during a campaign event in Texas. “All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”
