The 500-plus foot yacht of Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich docked at the Port of Palm Beach Friday afternoon — days before President Trump is expected to head to his Mar-a-Lago estate for Thanksgiving.
The Eclipse, which is 533-feet and valued between $400 million and $500 million docked at 1:15 p.m. local time Friday in a slip reserved for a cruise ship currently on hurricane-relief duty in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
But, it may not be able to stay there for long. The Eclipse was booked to stay through Dec. 5, but the 644-foot World — “the largest private residential ship on the planet” — is scheduled to arrive on Dec. 1.
So, if Abramovich has to move his boat, it would be heading down south on the Intracoastal Waterway toward downtown West Palm Beach — meaning the yacht, which has a submarine, would be within a mile or so of Mar-a-Lago, otherwise known as the Winter White House. The Eclipse, which is the second biggest private yacht in the world, also has a helipad.
According to Bloomberg Politics, Trump’s son-on-law and adviser Jared Kushner has met with Abramovich one-on-one and with their wives numerous times.
Abramovich, who is 51 years old and worth $9.5 billion, does not have a public schedule and there is no word on if he will meet with Trump during his anticipated stay in Florida.
Trump officials have been under scrutiny in multiple congressional investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Special counsel Robert Mueller is also conducting his own investigation into meddling and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.
