Officials confirmed at least one person died after tornadoes hit Central Texas on Monday.
The long line of storms also caused significant property damage.
One person was confirmed dead in Sherwood Shores, Texas, according to KTEN, while several others were injured and structures across multiple counties were destroyed.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott appeared at a press conference with Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell on Monday night, when he expressed gratefulness for the minimal casualties.

“I wanted the judge to know that the state is standing with the people of Williamson County shoulder to shoulder,” Abbott said. “We know that you faced a devastating storm. … We know that there’s people whose lives have been completely interrupted, but it may be a miracle, also, because even though there’s been some devastating physical damage, to my knowledge, there is no report of loss of life, which is just stunning.”
Abbott’s appearance was before the confirmed death was released.
The power is out in several parts of Texas, including Round Rock, Granger, Jarrell, and Elgin, with several roads and other areas disrupted.
