New York man shot dead while walking through intersection with 6-year-old daughter

Police in New York City are searching for a suspect they say opened fire on a man while he was walking with his 6-year-old daughter on Sunday afternoon.

Officers from the 44th Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting a man was shot at Sheridan Avenue and East 170th Street in the Bronx, NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said.

Surveillance footage obtained during the investigation, which police released, showed the victim walking through the intersection with a young girl when a sedan pulls up next to them. A passenger in the vehicle is seen displaying a handgun and opening fire, striking the victim multiple times.

The man later died from his injuries at a local hospital.

AM New York Metro identified the man as Anthony Robinson, 29, of Brooklyn.
