The tech company’s move comes in the wake of others performing similar measures to distance themselves from Moscow following the Russian invasion into Ukraine.

Tech firms across the board have sought to restrict and diminish the influence of Russian state-controlled media. Efforts against Russian outlets such as RT and Sputnik were enacted in response to calls from Western governments to halt the spread of Russian propaganda.
