Reid on Trump: ‘What a liar’

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., called Donald Trump a “liar” for claiming on Friday that Hillary Clinton started the effort to question President Obama’s place of birth during the 2008 campaign.

“Hillary brought it up? What a liar,” Reid said on CNN immediately following Trump’s announcement that he is rejecting the “birther” movement. “He never questioned the citizenship of anyone else running for president, no one else. He is just such a phony. Here’s a man you can’t believe anything he says. Nothing.”

“He is one of the most unbelievably immoral people I have ever heard deal with politics,” Reid added.

When asked whether he thought Trump is a racist, Reid refused to say but argued he is certainly a “man of no morality.”

“I don’t know. All you guys have a job to do,” Reid said. “You make that decision. I’m not going to. I’m just telling you what he’s done and we’ve seen it. He’s a man of no morality.”
