U.S. service member dies in Iraq

A second United States service member died in Iraq this week, the Pentagon announced Sunday.

First Lt. David A. Bauders, of Seattle, died in a non-combat related incident on Friday, the Department of Defense announced Sunday. No further details of how Bauders died were offered.

Bauders was a part of the 176th Engineering Company based out of Snohomish, Wash. He was serving as a part of Operation Inherent Resolve.

Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Charles Keating IV, a Navy SEAL, was shot and killed Tuesday in Iraq after coming under attack by Islamic State fighters in northern Iraq.
