Baltimore County mulls funds for tree project

Members of the Baltimore County Council will discuss allocating $50,000 for the county?s Growing Home campaign at their work session Tuesday.

The project encourages residents to plant native and selected noninvasive trees throughout the county. The money will fund a project coordinator and educational brochures.

The county also reimburses participating retailers $5 for each $10 coupon the retailer honors toward the purchase of a $25 native tree throughout the campaign.
