Today in odd Virginia school news, we have E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg, a humble, salt-of-the-earth institution that happens to be infested with skunks.
“We are going to put wanted posters up in the buildings,” Principal Kevin Latham told The News & Advance, “(and) have some fun with it.”
Apparently this is super funny, and not, oh let’s say a big health hazard. A “skunky” smell has been creeping from the cafeteria vents; skunks have been spotted hanging around school grounds; one even entered the bandroom.
Latham said a couple of students chose to go home, but many parents also took the messages in a humorous light.
He said he received a series of skunk pictures and jokes via e-mail, and a stuffed-animal skunk surfaced at one point during the day.

Do you know what kind of creature hangs around schools and occasionally enters the bandroom? These skunks are probably selling your kids cigarettes.
