Republicans more likely than Democrats to ‘definitely’ vote in November: Poll

Sixty-seven percent of Republicans said they will “definitely” be voting in the midterm elections on Nov. 8, compared to 62% of Democrats.

The new Yahoo News-YouGov poll also revealed that 45% of registered voters said they would select Democrats for Congress in their district if the election were held today. Only 40% said they would vote for a Republican candidate.

Democrats are more likely (66%) to definitely vote against candidates endorsed by former President Donald Trump than Republicans (58%) are to definitely vote against those whom President Joe Biden has endorsed.

The survey was conducted between Sept. 2-6 and included 1,634 respondents. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.6 points.
