Racial slurs appear on rural roadways

Authorities in two jurisdictions are trying to find out who is responsible for a spat of racially and sexually explicit graffiti painted on rural roadways.

Carroll and Frederick sheriff investigators say the hate symbols, racial slurs and sexual designs appeared on Lehigh Road in Carroll County and on Clemsonville Road in Frederick County, sometime between Friday night and Saturday.

Anyone with information is asked to call either the Carroll County or Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
