Trump rally live updates: Donald campaigns with Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania ahead of midterms
Former President Donald Trump is in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on Saturday for a “Save America” rally to stump for his preferred candidates in a must-win swing state ahead of this week’s midterm elections.
The event, which is taking place at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport, located southeast of Pittsburgh, will feature appearances by GOP Senate hopeful Dr. Mehmet Oz and state Sen. Doug Mastriano, the Republican gubernatorial nominee. Trump endorsed both in their highly competitive primary races. While not on the set list for Saturday’s event, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was seen walking into the event. The rally is taking place the weekend before Election Day, the height of campaign season.
Trump is rallying his supporters to get out and vote for Oz and Mastriano as former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden make their own appearances in the Keystone State ahead of Tuesday’s elections, which will decide control of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Senate hopeful John Fetterman pounced on Dr. Mehmet Oz’s Pittsburgh Steelers stumble, where the Republican told voters to support him this Sunday “before the Steelers game.”
Fetterman (D-PA) posted a video of his rival’s comments at a rally with former President Donald Trump and noted the NFL team doesn’t have a game.
“The Steelers have a bye this week,” Fetterman said on Twitter.

Trump has wrapped his speech on getting out the vote for Oz and Mastriano after about two hours.
He pressed the urgency for voters to keep Democrats Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, running for Senate, and Josh Shapiro, running for governor, from taking power. He also teased his 2024 presidential run, which he is expected to formally announce shortly after the midterm elections.
Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz told supporters to spread the word to vote for him to 10 people tomorrow, before church or “before the Steelers game.”

Trump joked about the strong wind buffeting the rally, saying that it’s causing him to ad lib most his speech because reading the teleprompters is difficult.
“And by the way, if you think it’s easy to look at a teleprompter when it’s got a 40 mile an hour wind,” he said. “I feel like a drunken sailor — these things are waving, I’ll just say, you know, I’m winging about 80% of what I’m saying here tonight.”
“These suckers are going back and forth. I’m not a drinker, so I don’t know what it is to be drunk, but I think this would be like it,” he said.
The crowd at the rally broke into a spontaneous rendition of the Star Spangled Banner following a prayer.
Trump observed the singing with his hand over his heart.
“You sound good,” he told the crowd.
Trump cheered late night host Jimmy Kimmel’s ratings downfall, who recently admitted that he lost over half his audience due to his constant criticism of Trump.
“Jimmy Kimmel said that his show is practically dead because nobody that likes Trump will watch. And guess what, that turns out to be a majority of the people,” Trump said. “His show his dead … [Greg] Gutfeld on cable has the number one evening show. That’s great.”
Republican candidate for Pennsylvania governor Doug Mastriano outlined his agenda for day one in office on stage with Trump at the rally.
He promised to lift restrictions on oil drilling, saying “We’re going to drill and dig like never before.”
“All masking and jab requirements will end forever in Pennsylvania,” Mastriano continued. He added that “woke is broke,” “CRT (critical race theory) is done,” and “graphic porn in the schools will be out of there.”
Trump told the crowd they will soon be very happy with him, alluding to his expected 2024 presidential bid announcement.
“Everybody, I promise you in the next very, very, very short period of time you’re going to be so happy,” he said.
He is rumored to have the announcement planned for Nov. 14, the Monday following the midterm elections.
Trump backed off the topic because he said he wants to keep the focus on Dr. Mehmet Oz’s Senate run and Doug Mastriano’s bid for governor.
Trump played a compilation of President Joe Biden’s gaffes, causing the crowd to break into chants of “Let’s go Brandon.”
“So in many ways, it’s really not funny — it’s sad because we could end up in a nuclear war and this would be a war like no other,” Trump said, adding, “I believe this is the greatest danger that this country has faced from its founding because of the power of the weaponry, and we have a man that doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing.”
Trump touted his polling lead for 2024 Republican presidential nominee over the Florida governor “Ron DeSanctimonious.”
Trump granted the epitaph to Gov. Ron DeSantis, who could be Trump’s top contender in a 2024 bid for the White House. The former president bragged that over 70% of Republicans surveyed in a Rasmussen poll in September wanted him president again, while only 10% supported DeSantis.
Trump’s mention of his 2016 presidential opponent Hilary Clinton prompted the crowd to break into chants of “lock her up.”
“It was fake,” Trump said of accusation that he colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election. “And it was made up by crooked Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee.”
Trump continued the rally in Pennsylvania with a tirade against the “rigged” 2020 election, and said former Attorney General Bill Barr was afraid of getting impeached if he agreed with Trump’s election analysis.
“One of the worst and most sinister aspects of the Biden administration is their complete and total corruption of our justice system and of the rule of law. Nobody ever thought this happened. And a guy named Bill Barr, he was afraid to talk to anybody because they were going to impeach him. He was afraid. And I don’t blame him. They wanted to impeach him.”
“He said, ‘Sir they’re going to impeach me.’ I said ‘So what, I was impeached twice?'” Trump quipped.
Trump called out the perceived double standard in the justice system that punished protesters who rioted in the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
“Our country’s going to hell in so many different ways and yet murderers all over, the street gangs, drug dealers, and yet […] rapists have everything,” he said. “And they take an unbelievable American patriot along with others, including Jan. 6 people and they got treated like nobody’s ever been treated in this country. And yet, BLM, Antifa burned down cities, killed people, and nothing happens.”
Trump recounted a murder committed by an illegal immigrant during his rally in Pennsylvania, doubling down on calling illegal immigrants “animals.”
“These are animals,” Trump said. “I remember when I used that term to describe some vicious killers, and Nancy Pelosi said these are not animals, these are human beings. No, they’re animals.”
He continued, “And we better get tougher. We’re not going to have a country left anymore. We’re not going to have a country. When Republicans retake Congress, we must immediately force the restoration of every single border security policy we had.”
Trump relished President Joe Biden designating him as the “MAGA King” during a recent speech.
Biden and other Democrats have used the former president’s campaign slogan of “make America great again” as a derogatory phrase, calling Trump’s supporters “ultra MAGA” and Trump the “MAGA King.”
Trump said it was a “compliment” from the current president to be the MAGA King.
Former President Donald Trump told Pennsylvanians to vote Republican to contribute to a red “wave” on Election Day on Tuesday.
“If you support the decline and fall of America, then you must vote for the radical left Democrats,” he said that rally for his Keystone State endorsees. “If you want to stop the destruction of our country and save the American dream, then this Tuesday, you must vote Republican, in a giant red wave.

Former President Donald Trump will headline a rally beginning shortly for two of his Pennsylvania endorsees.
The rally is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
Trump is making his third visit to the Keystone State this election cycle on behalf of Dr. Mehmet Oz running for Senate and Doug Mastriano running for governor. Oz is locked in a tight race against Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D), and recent polls show him slightly ahead. Mastriano is trailing Democrat Josh Shapiro by about 10 points on average.
