Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in a newly released poll, but the two are virtually tied when third parties are mixed in to the results.
Without the Libertarian Gary Johnson or the Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Clinton gets 41 percent while Trump stands at 35 percent, with 25 percent wanting another choice.
However, with the two third parties, Clinton and Trump both get 37 percent with Johnson getting 7 percent and Stein is at 1 percent, the Reuters poll found.
This poll follows two weeks of heavy campaigning by both Clinton and Trump along with both the Republican and Democrat National Conventions respectively.
Widespread dissatisfaction was seen in both conventions, as Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was booed for refusing to endorse Trump, and Bernie Sanders backers protested during Clinton’s acceptance speech.
In the head-to-head matchup, Clinton has gained 3 points against Trump since the last poll was released by Reuters.
The poll was conducted between July 25 and July 29 in the middle of the Democratic National Convention, surveying 1043 likely voters with a margin of error of 4 percent, while the four-way poll was conducted over the same period surveyed 1426 likely voters with a margin of error of 3 percent.
