Rep. Patrick McHenry will not seek reelection. The North Carolina congressman served as speaker pro tempore for three weeks while the House was without a speaker. McHenry said in a statement.“This is not a decision I come to lightly, but I believe there is a season for everything and — for me — this season has come to an end.” McHenry is the 32nd member of the House to announce he is retiring, resigning, or not running for reelection.
