WEX MIN: One condition to Hunter Biden testimony, Trump’s possible trial delay
The House GOP is putting one major condition on Hunter Biden’s offer to testify to Congress. Rep James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to Hunter Biden’s lawyer Abbe Lowell, demanding Hunter Biden sit for a closed deposition, but the committee will welcome a public hearing after the fact. Lowell claims he wants the hearing to be public so Comer couldn’t release portions of the depositions to “manipulate” or “distort the facts and misinform the public.”
A Georgia judge is questioning whether Trump can be tried if he wins the 2024 election. If the judge were to accept an argument for the Supremacy Clause, Trump’s Georgia trial would be delayed until at least 2029 if Trump claims victory over President Joe Biden.
