Ecuadorian officials are trying to contain 600 gallons of oil that spilled off the coast of the Galapagos Islands.
A cargo ship being loaded with containers tipped over on Sunday, spilling its contents into the waters near the islands.
Video of the accident shows the ship flip over while a crane lowers a container onto the deck. The container falls off into the water, dragging the crane off the dock and into the water.
Sailors and dockworkers can be seen leaping from the crane and the ship as each goes down. No one was harmed in the accident, according to CNN.
Ecuador has declared an emergency to contain the oil spill before it damages the surrounding environment. The Galapagos Islands are home to some of the rarest animal species on Earth, with some species only known to exist on the islands.
