Trump campaign targets Hunter Biden in 96-hour ad blitz

If you’ve been wondering where Hunter Biden is amid his father’s coronation as the nominee of the Democratic Party, fear not, you can expect to see a lot more of him soon.

President Trump’s reelection campaign is targeting the conspicuously missing son of former Vice President Joe Biden in an ad push that will highlight his alleged financial dealings in China. A campaign official with the Trump campaign confirmed to Politico that the ad is slated to begin running on YouTube during the Democratic National Convention.

The two-minute spot will highlight Hunter Biden’s alleged profiteering from his father’s position in government to leverage exclusive business dealings with the Chinese Communist Party.

The piece also features a clip of Joe Biden saying that he wants to “see China rise” in an attempt to tie the former Delaware senator to the Chinese government amid the coronavirus pandemic, which arose from a cluster of infections in Wuhan.

The younger Biden, who has struggled with drug abuse, came under immense scrutiny for his employment with the corrupt Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings during the impeachment investigation into a July phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Hunter Biden was allegedly paid upward of $50,000 a month to serve on the board of the company.

The spot is part of a 96-hour YouTube ad blitz purchased by the Trump campaign.
