Montgomery County is planning a day of service and musical tribute to honor the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr., on Jan. 16.
The service portion of the day’s activities will include projects at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center and service projects around the county. The musical tribute will be held at the Music Center at Strathmore at 4 p.m.
The county will also hold a countywide food drive to benefit the Manna Food Center on Jan. 14 and 15. Food will be collected at all Giant grocery stores throughout the county.
