Jackson’s net worth was estimated at $110 million in 2012.
Jackson showed his support for another Republican in 2005. The “In Da Club” rapper called George W.Bush a “gangsta” and said he would have voted for him if his felony conviction did not prevent him from doing so.
“[The president] is incredible … A gangsta. I wanna meet George Bush, just shake his hand and tell him how much of me I see in him.”
Under Biden’s plan, the combined state and federal income tax would be over 60% for high earners in some states, such as in California at 62.64%.
In New York City, which levies a local income tax, the rate would be 62%, according to the Tax Policy Center. In New Jersey, the top combined tax rate would be over 60%. The tax increases would be the highest combined tax rates in 30 years, according to CNBC.
Democratic leaders, including Sen. Chuck Schumer, have called for a repeal of the SALT tax cap.
